"I had a
6 month contract in DC and opted to find a short term rental rather
than a hotel. As somebody brand new to DC, I was unfamiliar with
all the neighborhoods except for what I had researched online.
This studio apartment offered me everything I needed, was in great
shape, and is in a really cool neighborhood. I was initially hesitant
about not having a car in DC, but I was within walking distance
from excellent restaurants, bars, the Metro, Dupont Circle, convenience
stores, supermarkets, everything. There are also several ZipCars
within blocks. I felt safe walking by myself at night as there
were always people out, even late at night. The landlord is great
-- he helped me find a subletter when my project ended ahead of
schedule, and was always available when I needed him (which was
rare, since the apartment was in such good condition.) If work
ever brings me back to the area, I will definitely look for another
rental property from him."
